Belle just happens to be my absolute favorite Disney Princess. Not only that, but it's also one of my top 3 favorite Disney movies, alongside Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland. I think this movie is a part of so many favorites of mine because of all the amazing scenes and characteristics the characters have. The one dream that I really want to come true is to have a library (but on a smaller scale of course) just like the one in the movie. Plus Belle's iconic yellow ballgown. And the Beast. Well basically everything.
I wanted to make the cake with a few of the main components of the movie, which is mainly Belle and the Beast and the Red Rose. I also added in a few of the other characters but as I look at it now, I kind of wish I hadn't put them on the cake. I just feel like it would've look so much prettier with just Belle and the Beast with the really beautiful pop of red rosettes that make out the Red Rose.
One of my most favorite scenes in the movie is when Belle tells Beast that she loves him and then he begins to transform back into his human form. One thing that I would've loved though is if they had incorporated more of Beast in human form in the movie. Don't get me wrong though, I love the Beast, but it still would've been nice to see the human Beast too because Disney certainly made him into a dashing prince.
P.S. Who's super excited for the live action Beauty and the Beast movie to come out?!?! It better not just be me!
P.S.S. Now don't worry your pretty little heads because I'm just going to take a break from doing all of the Disney Series for awhile and let all of the fun holiday and special events that are going on for the next couple of months. Trust me, it'll be worth the break!
_________________________________________________________________________________Truly Red Frosting
2 cups plain buttercream
1-2 tbsp cocoa powder
No-taste red food coloring
Mix all of the items together and keep adding the red food coloring until you get the desired red color you are looking for.
NOTE: When it comes to the red food coloring it is best to use the no-taste because to get the true red color you will be adding A LOT of the food coloring. And when I say a lot I mean about a tablespoon or more.
