Football

Being that I'm living in Charlotte, North Carolina and today just happens to be the Superbowl in which the Carolina Panthers are playing I thought it'd be a good idea to do a little football type post to help celebrate!

England

London 2011. Uff, that was such a long time ago! I absolutely loved being in London even if it was only for a short period of time before I headed to another city where I was to live with an amazing family for the course of about 4 months. It's crazy to even think that I actually did this when I was only 16!

Chocolate Chip Raspberry Cake

The month of January is the time where the snow likes to come out to play in North Dakota. It's typically the time of year where it starts to storm a lot and the snow just keeps on piling up. At least when you live here in this winter wonderland you can easily find things to do with the all the snow.

Chocolate + Peppermint Cookies

The holidays are officially over until all of the major chain stores decides to put out the Valentine's day stuff. And let's face it, they already put that stuff out. Yet we still tend to have a little bit of the leftover Christmas candy, do we not? Such as the infamous candy cane.

Chocolate + Pistachio Cake

This is one of the most yummy combinations you could ever do. Pistachios and chocolate! Who wouldn't want to eat something with those two things in it?!?!

Raspberry White Chocolate Cookies

Well it is officially the month of December and we all know what that means... An endless supply of cookies! And Christmas, of course. Now most cookies made during the holidays involves chocolate and spices, but what about fruit? I know, fruit is more of a summer thing, but it can be used during the winter too, can't it?

Cowboys & The Wild West

Something that I enjoy doing is watching a western on TV and it's one of those things that I do with my dad when I'm home on breaks from college. My absolute favorite western to watch is The Virginian. Trampas is my favorite character on this show, the main reason being that I think he's pretty freaking cute. Anyways, watching these westerns gave me the inspiration to make this cowboy cake.

Goin' Bananas

Yum, I love bananas! It just happens to be one of my favorite fruits to eat, because it's good with peanut butter and is even better with some vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Except this time around it's going to be in a cake! I love it already.

Halloween

I love Halloween. I love this holiday mainly because of my love of everything horror. Movies, TV shows, books, you name it. If it has ghosts, supernatural beings, demons or killers, I'll watch it and I'll read it.

Welcome to the Jungle

Don't you just love that song by Guns N' Roses? Well I do. Anyways this isn't about a song, it's about a little baby that is on the way! Now I don't personally know the mother to be of this baby, but I do know her relative who asked me to make this cake for the baby shower. She requested it to be an animal cake, and that's when my mind went on its own little hunt on how to execute this cake just right.

Betty Crocker

Almost a year ago my grandpa came by the house and gave me this old baking book that belonged to my grandma. It's a really old Betty Crocker cooky book that was made in the 60's and contains so many old pictures and tons of recipes for bars and cookies. The one thing that always gets to me is that they spell cookie like cooky. That just tells you that it's definitely an old book and you know that it's going to be a good one.

Horses

I was asked by my aunt to make a cake for my uncle's birthday. They are major horse people so there of course had to be a horse on his birthday cake. Duh!
